    Two new entries hit the box office this weekend that have high levels of awareness and expectation. Kick-Ass has been getting a lot of attention based on moviegoer response while Death at a Funeral presents a remake of a film just three years old.     Last week the introduction of ESPN presentation in NCAA Football 11 was first discovered. Today EA Sports has posted a blog confirming ESPN presentation while going into detail how it will be implemented in the game.     The first big sales news in the sports gaming world has arrived as NPD has reported the official numbers from March which include the opening months for MLB 10: The Show and MLB 2K10. The Show came in 10th for the month with 349,000 copies while 2K10 came no where near the top 10. We should find out by tomorrow whether it made it into the top 20. (more…)...

    With the news having just settled that Joss Whedon has been brought on to direct The Avengers it now appears that he will have even greater influence on the movie as well as another one of the Marvel projects. Variety is reporting that he will do a pass-over of The Avengers script, while Pajiba is citing a source that he will also get to work on the Captain America script.     Located within a video promoting the light heavyweight title fight for Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal is some very early footage from the upcoming EA Sports MMA. Lawal faces Gegard Mousasi at the Strikeforce event this weekend. The gameplay footage first appears at the five minute mark and is found throughout the remainder of the video with the longest stretch being from 6:00-7:10.     The first roster update that incorporates changes from the start of the MLB season arrived today for MLB 10: The Show. No indication on why it was delayed from its normal Monday release. This update includes the highly anticipated addition of Jason Heyward to the Braves as well as other players who have had debuted in the majors so far this season.
