    EA Sports has released a brand new set of screenshots for Madden 11. These 10 screens feature Chris Johnson, Vince Young, Maurice Jones-Drew, Drew Brees, and several presentation-related scenes.     Get Him to the Greek is helmed by Nicholas Stoller as a follow-up to his directorial debut with Forgetting Sarah Marshall. A sequel of sorts it focuses on the character of Aldous Snow as played by the eccentric Russell Brand. Unfortunately the movie takes on a completely different tone than FSM becoming more of an in-your-face comedy and in doing so bypasses the delivery of a genuine story and enjoyable characters.   • MLB 10: The Show Receives Patch Fix

    Earlier this week the third patch for MLB 10: The Show came out and not long it was discovered that a major issue had been introduced. Runs were being scored in situations where third outs were being recorded. That has now been resolved with the release of a secondary patch to fix the problem. Firing up the game on the PS3 will lead to the prompt for the game update and all should be good after installation. Full details on the earlier patch can be found here....

    Audio presentation was identified as one of the most disappointing areas of Madden 10 and EA Sports has addressed that for Madden 11 with the replacement of play-by-play announcer Tom Hammond with Gus Johnson. Johnson will now team up doing PBP with Cris Collinsworth as the color man. Though we've known about his addition to the game for a month the excitement about the change really hasn't died down.     With Iron Man 2 having unofficially kicked-off the summer movie season two weeks ago the next blockbuster arrives in theaters  with the final chapter to the Shrek series (and in 3D). The other new release is the SNL skit adaptation MacGruber. All the important pieces are back for the final Shrek film and with higher ticket prices due to 3D screenings it is primed for a huge opening.     The demo for Backbreaker (detailed yesterday) is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Considering the three different modes and six teams it includes it comes in at a surprisingly slim 414MB. Exhibition games are locked at two minute quarters with the mode (Arcade, Pro) and difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard) selectable. Impressions and videos to come starting today and through the weekend.     2K Sports has released the breakdown of improvements being made via the upcoming patch for MLB 2K10. This is the second patch that incorporates feedback on the game for the 360.     Official word has made it out that the demo for Backbreaker will arrive for the Xbox 360 tomorrow (Friday) morning at 9am PT while the PS3 is expected to get it next Tuesday. The demo will include training camp drills, tackle alley, and exhibition. Six teams are included to choose from. It definitely was a good move to make the demo extensive and include drills in addition to regular gameplay. Look for videos and impressions beginning tomorrow and through the weekend!
