Earlier today a brand new rating was spotted in Madden 11. The rating category in question is to be known as "Swagger". The image above, originally posted on the official EA Sports forum, shows that not only is it a new rating but it has been officially sponsored by Old Spice. GoMadden noted that the NFL and Old Spice had partnered up earlier this year to identify which teams in the league had the most swagger and a relationship such as that with a sports league oftentimes leads to inclusio...

Speculation for some time has been that when Steve Carell's contract runs out he would leave The Office. Today it was confirmed by Carell that the upcoming season of the series will be his last. Plans are for The Office to continue on without his character of Michael Scott. The question is whether audiences will accept the show without Carell attached or if the ensemble cast can carry on the success without him. This could actually be a good thing for The Office. The Michael Scott character...

Last year both NBA games had their share of issues but 2K Sports and EA Sports engaged in an ugly campaign meant to put down the competition's product. The back and forth included 2K questioning the first patch for NBA Live 10 and its inclusion of community feedback. EA Sports retaliated with a blog showcasing complaints about NBA 2K10 and all the people who were selling it on Craigslist. It was an embarrassing series of events that ended up making both companies look bad and created the perce...

While expectations have been building due to good showings while still in an early state (it showed very well at E3) EA Sports MMA has been hit by a few setbacks that could ultimately damage its potential to break out. Back in April it was a post-Strikeforce event brawl that made the promotion, which acts as the most high profile license involved in EA MMA, look second rate. Now over the weekend co-cover athlete Fedor Emelianenko went down in his fight against Fabricio Werdum submitting after ...

While the two new openers performed pretty much in line with expectations it was last weekend's winner Toy Story 3 that again topped the box office. Grown Ups turned in the typical Adam Sandler first weekend and despite a mediocre start Knight and Day still has the potential to be a success. After just 10 days Toy Story 3 has already raked in $226.5 million after a $59 million second weekend. The 46% drop was higher than most Pixar films see however it also opened much bigger than any ever ...
