    EA Sports has released the NBA Jam rosters for the Eastern Conference. Each team has 3-4 current players and some have legends and mascots. There is the possibility of roster updates post-release to consider as a few of the rosters are inaccurate due to recent off-season moves.     With the next roster update for Madden 11 expected by the end of the week I got the jump on a few of the bigger transactions that have taken place recently. Players such as T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Matt Leinart have moved and with the cut down to 53 creating a huge number of changes (from adds/cuts to ratings to numbers) this is the most substantial update that will occur in that regard all year.     NHL 11 arrived in stores today boasting real-time physics, the addition of the CHL, and the new Ultimate Team Hockey League mode. Early reviews have been expectantly positive, though the prevalence of pay-for-boosts and issues with Be a GM mode are notable.   • More News on the Judge Dredd Reboot

    In August we learned that Judge Dredd would be getting a reboot with Karl Urban signed on for the lead role and Pete Travis directing. The movie is expected to be an R rated gritty take on the comic. Now there is a final title for the film which will be known as Dredd and the official synopsis below.   • Madden 11 Patch #2 Details

    The first highly anticipated patch for Madden 11 arrived today for the PS3 and 360. The patch brings back in the classic pre-play controls that were removed and replaced with the "Strategy Pad". It also adds in "Madden Moments Live" which will present new moments throughout the year for purchase.     The demo for EA Sports MMA is scheduled to go out for the 360 and PS3 on Tuesday September 28th. Four fighters will be included to use in the demo.   • The American Wins Labor Day Weekend

    Labor Day weekend has accounted for the worst total box office performance of the year as The American takes the top spot with Machete coming in third and Going the Distance tanking in fifth. George Clooney gets his first solo #1 opener with the assassin themed The American. Pulling in $13 million for the weekend it has now totaled $16.1 million since opening on Wednesday.
