FIFA 11 Available for iPhone
The release of the console version of FIFA 11 has been joined this week by the mobile version of the game. FIFA 11 for the iPhone and iPod touch is out now. Included are 30 officially licensed leagues, 35 authentic stadiums, 500 licensed teams, and more than 15,000 players. Quick match, Season, and Tournament are the gameplay modes to choose from. Trailer for True Grit
Paramount has released a trailer for the upcoming Coen brothers movie True Grit. The film stars Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, and Jeff Bridges with the story centering on a tough U.S. Marshal that helps a stubborn young woman track down her father's murderer. This is an adaptation of the 1968 novel and a remake of the 1969 film starring John Wayne. True Grit is slated to release on Christmas. ...

Pop-Up Ads Return to Madden
The latest patch for Madden 11 seems to have resurrected the scorebar pop-up ads that first appeared in Madden 10. Drawing the ire of many gamers who contacted me regarding the issue, this form of advertising was thought to have been removed for this year due to the heavy ad placement found in different areas of the game. Kevin Durant Learned About NBA Elite 11 Delay on Twitter
One would assume that the cover athlete of a major sports game would be informed of a crucial development such as said game's delay. By agreeing to be on the cover and take on the role of spokesperson an athlete's image is ultimately being tested and put on the line. In the case of Kevin Durant, featured on the cover of NBA Elite 11, he apparently found out about the game's delay through Twitter and not from EA Sports. (more…)...

THQ Toying With New Pricing Model
Recently THQ presented a new game pricing model to investors that they will be trying out initially with their next MX series off-road racing game in 2011. How the experiment fares could determine whether they expand it to other titles as well as influence other companies considering taking the same route in the future. Hitch to Become TV Series
The 2005 hit film Hitch is being turned into a television series, with multiple networks in the bidding hoping to acquire it. The movie, which starred Will Smith, Eva Mendes, and Kevin James went on to make $180 million domestically and doubled that number when counting in foreign grosses. Its $50 million opening weekend still holds the record for a romantic comedy. I can see Hitch working as a series pretty well given the concept. The next roster update for Madden 11, expected out on Friday, takes into consideration everything that has happened up to and through week three of the NFL season. This update includes Eagles QB Michael Vick getting a 5 point boost up to an 85 just in time to face off with Donovan McNabb. He has gone from a 75 to an 85 over the course of the last three updates.
