The NBA 2K series has struggled mightily with online play as 2K Sports attempted to expand features while taking on the increased load that has come with the growing sales base. Crippling lag and features that didn't function as advertised made for a frustrating online experience. While NBA 2K11's online play can still be considered an area of weakness it has seemingly avoided being the disaster of the last few years. The game didn't add any new online features choosing instead to work on e...

September was big for EA Sports as their three most recent games finished in the top five in sales for the month. Unfortunately NPD has decided to no longer provide the actual sales numbers for consoles or individual titles instead leaving that to the manufacturers and publishers which is a little disconcerting. Madden 11 finished in second (behind only Halo: Reach and in front of Dead Rising 2) while NHL 11 came in 4th and FIFA 11 landed in 5th. The results are especially impressive for NH...

A second patch for UFC Undisputed 2010 is now available for both the 360 and PS3. This patch is heavy with the online related fixes but early positive impressions are being made based on the gameplay tweaks provided. With EA Sports MMA scheduled to arrive next week the timing of this patch is certainly curious but likely just a coincidence. The resources put into this update probably wouldn't have been allocated had the series not been pushed off a yearly release cycle. Continue on for the ...

The first trailer for the Adrien Brody film Wrecked has arrived. The film centers on a man who awakens trapped in a car wreck at the bottom of a ravine and must overcome incredible odds to survive. Wrecked does not have an official released date yet other than it coming in 2011. A man awakens in a mangled car-wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. The post NFL week five roster update for Madden 11 includes three high profile players losing their coveted 99 rating. Drew Brees, Patrick Willis, and Jared Allen all fall a single point which seems to be in part representative of their respective team's struggles. Other notable changes include the trade of Deion Branch to the Patriots, several team overall ratings shifting from one to three points, and Colt McCoy taking the reigns as the starting QB of the Browns due to injuries. The Jerom...
  • NBA 2K11 Creating a Legend Impressions

With the ability to unlock Creating a Legend in NBA 2K11 without having completed all of the Jordan Challenges I have focused my time since on the mode. Creating a Legend is essentially just My Player mode using a rookie Michael Jordan but for several reasons I'm finding this mode much more enjoyable than the latter. (more…)...

Earlier this week we learned that Rhys Ifans had been cast as the villain in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. However Sony was not forthcoming with what specific villain he would actually be playing in the film. Now The Wrap is reporting that it will be Dr. Curt Connors aka The Lizard. Ifans will play the role of a surgeon who was sent to war and lost his arm only to return and regrow the limb using reptilian DNA but with drastic side-effects. The most recent trilogy had Dylan Baker in the r...
