Randy Moss has been awarded to the Tennessee Titans off waivers. The Titans were 22nd in line to nab him meaning the 21 teams ahead of them passed on the opportunity to bring in Moss. The team is on a bye this weekend which will allow time to integrate Moss and get him settled. Though not one of the teams initially linked to Moss he could take their offense to another level. With Chris Johnson at RB (98 overall rating), a dynamic QB in Vince Young (81 overall), and an emerging Kenny Britt (...

It was only a matter of time before it was made official and today EA Sports announced that NBA Elite 11 has been completely canceled. Originally framed as a "delay" it was obvious the game would never see the light of day despite the company reportedly not having made any final decisions on its fate. When the news hit that the franchise was being shifted to the Tiburon studio it only cemented further that it was finished. The question now arises as to what will be the future of NBA from EA...

Nearly two months after release and NHL 11 has received its first roster update. It includes the addition of about 600 players within the 10 different leagues that NHL 11 carries and also updates goalie equipment. Despite the arrival of the roster update the NHL community is up in arms over what has been provided and issues it has created. It appears that no ratings have been touched in the update just player movement and additions have been made. The update has reintroduced some bugs, one ...
  • Madden 11 Week Eight Ratings Change Suggestions

With just 11 games on the slate for NFL week eight there seemed to be further establishing of some player trends rather than breakout performances and that should be reflected in this week's Madden 11 roster update. Of course the biggest move will be to remove Randy Moss from the Vikings roster. If Moss were to sign elsewhere by Wednesday he could be added to his new team but things seem unlikely to progress that quickly. Standout players to look at moving up include the combo of Jamaal Cha...

EA Sports MMA has now been out for two weeks allowing plenty of time to assess what the game has done well and where it fell short. For a first attempt with the launching of a franchise the product is surprisingly polished and contains a deep feature set. Here are what I perceive to be the hits and misses for EA Sports MMA. (more…)...
  • Where Will Randy Moss End Up?

Randy Moss was cut today by the Minnesota Vikings just three weeks after being traded for a third round pick. He hits the market as a hot commodity based on talent but one that many teams will see as a poor fit due to age and being a locker room disruption. He may be a big pain off the field and his lack of effort at times during games remains a concern. Still he provides a deep threat and draws double teams which can be extremely valuable to an offense. His current 95 overall rating in Mad...
  • The Walking Dead Premieres to Huge Ratings

Last night's premiere of the comic-adaptation series The Walking Dead became AMC's highest rated premiere ever. The show pulled in 5.3 million viewers and a massive 3.6 rating in the crucial 18-49 demo. When including the two replays that immediately followed the total was 8.1 million viewers for the evening. AMC has been building a brand established on high quality but typically low ratings. Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Rubicon are prime examples of that. The Walking Dead however provided wi...
