After a huge week 10 the question now arises as to whether Michael Vick actually deserves to be a 99 overall in Madden 11 and the argument can certainly be made that he should be. It would be an unprecedented leap to go from starting the year at a 73 and getting incremental upgrades through roster updates only to reach the pinnacle by the end of week 10. He currently sits at 87 and there has never been a one week jump that could even compare to going from that place to a 99. Really though w...

NBA Jam is releasing tomorrow for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and along with it will be the expanded online feature set delivered via patch. Until now those extra online features, including online co-op and Remix mode online, only had a tentative arrival of "by December". The patch will be available immediately. As discussed previously to a great degree, much of the difficulty in releasing NBA Jam on its own has been that EA Sports devalued the game by advertising it as being a free pack-in with N...

2K Sports has announced that Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay will be the cover athlete for MLB 2K11. Halladay is not a surprise except in that pitchers seem to have a tougher time getting covers than position players. Tim Lincecum was amongst the few when he most recently received the cover of MLB 2K9. Check out the full MLB 2K11 cover featuring Halladay in the gallery. Halladay went 21-10 with a 2.44 ERA and will likely end up winning the NL Cy Young award. He opened the playoff...

The animated film Megamind held off challengers, in particular a solid opening from Unstoppable, in order to win its second straight weekend at the box office. Other new openers had decent but unspectacular starts to their runs. Megamind came in second on Friday but surged with strong Saturday and Sunday numbers which is typical for family-oriented films. It made $30 million and now has totaled nearly $90 million in just 10 days. Strong results from 3D screens have helped boost its take and...
