The first screenshot from MLB 2K11 has arrived and features cover athlete Roy Halladay. The complete full size image can be viewed in the gallery. Though the image doesn't provide much sense of how the game may have advanced graphically in general it does show clear improvement for Halladay vs last year. It at least doesn't appear to be as obviously touched up as debut screens in previous years have been which is encouraging. The size of the numbers on the back of the jersey look to be much...
  • Black Friday 2010 Deals

I've gone ahead and put together listings of Black Friday sales that relate to sports games. Some of the deals don't seem all that great at first glance, but considering that many of the titles in question incorporate the "Online Pass" it can end up being a savings over buying used and tacking on the $10 online functionality charge. Those looking for many specific or a wide variety of sports games will find Best Buy and Walmart the places to go. NCAA Football 11, NHL 11, FIFA 11, and EA Spo...

Typically events that take place away from the action of the sport are not reflected in player ratings. A few weeks ago Madden 11 dropped the stamina rating of Donovan McNabb after he was knocked for his conditioning by his coach. That was amusing and even made sense given his history and context of ratings adjustments due to performance. Ultimately it was related to on-the-field events so in that regard it was acceptable. 2K Sports though has taken it to another level and it is a questiona...

The campaigning across the internet for Nathan Fillion unfortunately amounted to nothing. Mark Wahlberg has confirmed he is set to play the role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming video game adaptation Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. This will be the fourth time that Wahlberg has worked with director David O. Russell so that relationship seemed to play a part in the decision. It has also been noted that Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are being targeted for roles in the film. One would likely play Su...

Having already detailed the doubling in sales that the NBA 2K series received with 2K11 and the drop-off that Madden 11 is now experiencing that leaves a handful of other titles and their sales to still discuss. It is largely disappointing news even when considering some of the following games didn't have huge expectations to begin with. (more…)...
