The Social Network may be the favorite for Best Picture at the Oscars however it didn't lead the field in nominations. The King's Speech instead has earned the most nominations with 12 followed by True Grit with 10. Surprisingly Christopher Nolan is not in the field for Best Director despite eight nominations for Inception which tied it with The Social Network. The 83rd Academy Awards ceremony takes place on February 27th and will be hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway. (more&helli...

A sequel to Tron: Legacy has only been rumored at this point but that isn't stopping Disney from including a tease for it on the DVD/Blu-ray release. Three scenes were reportedly shot back in November to comprise a trailer of sorts to be included amongst the special features. The movie is expected to reach stores in April. Given that it was completed before Tron: Legacy hit theaters there is no way to say the inclusion indicates a sequel is in fact on track. Disney had hoped the film wou...

Though it wasn't a blockbuster opening the R-rated comedy No Strings Attached was able to come out on top of the box office for the weekend. The number comes in line with expectations and when put up against a relatively light budget of $25 million it becomes an undeniable success. Reviews, as typical for comedies that push boundaries, were mixed but the marketing was strong enough...

  • Review: Takers

Takers may long be remembered for having the most egregiously bad photoshopped poster of all-time. The movie however actually performed well at the box office proving lucrative due to a popular ensemble cast. Unfortunately the final product is not unlike the poster as it feels pieced together clumsily and lacks attention to detail. (more…)...
