    At an event held in Japan last night Sony unveiled their "Next Generation Portable" follow-up to the PSP. The system will apparently rival the processing power of the PS3, offers dual analog sticks, capacitive touch screen, flash based memory, and online/social connectivity.     With the final season for The Office star Steve Carell heading into its final stretch NBC is pulling out all the stops to make it a true event. Will Ferrell, who co-starred with Carell in Anchorman, has signed on for a four episode arc. Ferrell will play a branch manager from the home office who somehow is just as inappropriate as Michael Scott.     The last two iterations of Madden have featured players from the Super Bowl on the cover and even going back further the player chosen has often come from those respective teams. Though it certainly is not a requirement to get to the big game doing so can provide a big edge over others being considered.     Yesterday the first look at the reboot of the 80's cartoon series Thundercats leaked out and now an official image has been released. This one features the same foursome of Tygra, Lion-O, Cheetara, and Panthro. The show will be premiering on the Cartoon Network later this year. The new “ThunderCats” will appeal to viewers who have loved the characters all their lives as well as young newcomers to the franchise.     EA Sports is not commenting on whether Andy Gray will remain as commentator in FIFA 12 even as he has been fired from his position at Sky Sports for making sexist comments and related inappropriate actions.     Fight Night Champion is set to have a typically structured demo, four boxers in two different matchups, but EA Sports turned in a surprise with the announcement that it will be enabled for head-to-head online play for a limited time.
