It was a tight race for the top spot at the box office this weekend as the Adam Sandler led Just Go With It faced off against the Justin Bieber biopic Never Say Never. The two other openers resulted in one hit and one disappointment. In first place it was Just Go With It which continues the consistent $30+ million openings that Sandler delivers as it finished with $31 million. Also typical with Sandler driven films has been the poor reviews that audiences ignore. Marketing was solid and inc...

Johnny Depp and director Gore Verbinski, who have worked together on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, re-team for the animated film Rango. The result is not quite what would be expected. Rango is light on laughs and lacks the typical lovable characters but takes on a tone rarely attempted in family films. (more…)...

Over the last few years Take Two has been an acquisition target for multiple companies most notably Electronic Arts. Now comes a rumor that the other giant in the gaming world Activision may be eyeing a takeover. The info comes from MCV which as an outlet has produced a number of rumors regarding talks around Take Two for several years now that have not panned out so it isn't something worth getting too riled up by yet. Keeping that in mind one starts to wonder how Activision would view 2K ...

A few updates dropped today for MLB 2K11. One is a developer blog straight from 2K Sports that focuses on enhancements to the graphics and the other from ESPN takes a look at My Player and Franchise modes. With only three and a half weeks to go until release hopefully 2K will open up with some gameplay footage and set a demo date a week or two in advance. Graphically the MLB 2K series has been poor the past few years, in some ways to an embarrassing extent, as a clear trade-off was ma...

Ever since its official announcement last year the majority of discussion around Supremacy MMA has regarded the brutal, underground nature of the fighting. That remains controversial but with release in June creeping up it looks as though 505 Games has turned attention to some of the other aspects of the game which is probably a smart move to make. That first began with the news of Jens Pulver's involvement and now comes the first look at the game's story mode. The trailer doesn't show much...
