    Though much of the news as of late on NBA 2K12 has been discouraging, with the revelation that historic teams are not playable online and that no rookies will be included on the rosters essentially making them identical to last year's due to the lockout, the demo is about to arrive and that will at least temporarily demand the attention.     The demo for FIFA 12 released last week offering the opportunity to experience the enhancements made for the latest iteration in the intensely popular series first-hand.     Though it has yet to have a release date officially announced for January (official website does show January 3rd though) retailers have rolled out details on their pre-order deals for UFC Undisputed 3.     The 2011 Emmy Awards were notable for a number of surprises. Friday Night Lights finally got recognition as it won for writing and Kyle Chandler walked away with Best Actor in a Drama, while Peter Dinklage won for Supporting Actor representing Game of Thrones.     Another huge blow to the appeal of NBA 2K12 was confirmed today as Kotaku reports that historic teams will not be available for use in online play. There was disappointment last year when the teams were not allowed to be taken online even in unranked games but providing the opportunity this year was much more critical under the circumstances.
