This week of DVD/Blu-ray releases is headlined by the final entry in the Harry Potter franchise with Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The film earned over $1.3 billion worldwide and delivered a fantastic critical response with 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. With that one swallowing up all the attention other studios for the most part avoided releasing anything significant this week. The Change-Up is notable but mostly for having bombed in theaters. •Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2Ã...

There has been minimal movement from roster updates in terms of 'traits' for Madden NFL 12 so far. Most notable however have been Calvin Johnson gaining "Clutch" following week four and Eli Manning losing his after just the first game. Manning had been described as being on the edge in the first place, barely qualifying to be amongst the initial group of 36 players, and the poor outing in a loss to the Redskins slid him out. Since then he's had some ups and downs but four 4th quarter come...

  • Xbox Account Hackings Continue; Connection to FIFA Creates Concerns

A few weeks back on Google Plus I wrote about how thieves have been targeting Xbox accounts in order to profit from selling FIFA Ultimate Team card packs (along with spending the MS points on the account or charging the card attached for more). Instances of that haven't subsided - and it's even happened to members of the community and individuals I'm familiar with through social media channels. A lot has been made over the ties to the FIFA series as there is no doubt that it goes beyond a...

    Posted November 3rd, 2011 at 5:15 pm 10 Comments »
Considering Justin Verlander had a previous marketing relationship with 2K Sports, and is coming off a spectacular year that had some proclaiming him worthy of the MVP award and a shoo-in for Cy Young, it should be no surprise that the company today named him as the cover athlete for Major League Baseball 2K12. The news was broken earlier on Twitter and the official announcement was made at the MLB Players Choice Awards. Verlander led the Detroit Tigers to the AL Central championship with...
