It's been a while since EA Sports' Season Ticket program was heard from. The last game it applied to was FIFA 12 back in September as the releases from the company since then (NFL Blitz, Grand Slam Tennis 2, and SSX) have not been included. That changes today as the "bonus" game for the package with FIFA Street has arrived for download on the 360 and PS3 in advance of its release on Tuesday. The digital copy of FIFA Street will expire early Tuesday (6am ET) after which a retail copy will ...

However when THQ pushed out a sub-par product the next year with UFC 2010 those perceptions were quickly squashed as sales plummeted. That led to the company moving the series off a yearly release schedule. The hope in doing so was that a longer development cycle would provide the opportunity to produce a more compelling product and in turn give consumers more reason to purchase while...

While 2K Sports is collecting feedback for an upcoming patch of MLB 2K12, which undoubtedly has a multitude of issues to consider, the company has publicly stated not to expect it to come until at least May. The explanation behind that comes down to 2K not wanting to alter the game during the month in which the $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge takes place. That makes sense from the standpoint that changing 2K12 in any way could disrupt players who have tried to get handle on the game ...

In terms of modes the central addition to MLB 12: The Show comes in the form of Diamond Dynasty. Similar to Ultimate Team in EA Sports titles Diamond Dynasty puts additional focus on team personalization and introduces more depth to the structuring and building of them. Conceptually the mode works but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.  (more…)...

With all 64 team representatives announced for the Madden NFL 13 cover tournament the voting in the play-in round began today through the app on the SportsNation page. In embarrassing fashion after being up for a short time earlier in the day it vanished for several hours preventing anyone from voting. That confused many who seemed to think they were casting their selections on that Facebook page by leaving comments. The app only just returned so hopefully it will stay up from now on. ...

Heading into release for MLB 12: The Show there wasn't a whole lot of optimism around online play. The series has always struggled to produce a sufficient online experience - it really has been the achilles' heel that has kept it from reaching its potential beyond just being an excellent product but a complete one at that. So far with MLB 12 online has again proven to be troublesome with no apparent advancements having been made.  (more…)...
