    The Dark Knight Rises is projected to have made $161 million in its first weekend which brings the film in slightly below its original projections but still makes it the third biggest opening in history. The effect of the tragic theater shooting in Aurora may have had some impact on audience drive to see the film immediately.     EA Sports has released the first directly captured footage of NHL 13 in action. There was one clip that made it out of E3 but its off-screen quality and the skill of those playing made it less than ideal. In this new video a producer narrates over gameplay examples explaining what is being seen and how they act as improvements for the series.     The lawsuit filed in 2008 regarding the pricing of EA Sports football products following the acquisitions of exclusive licenses recently reached a settlement. The details were announced today and go beyond just the anticipated consumer payouts. EA will be responsible for establishing a $27 million fund for consumers who purchased Madden, NCAA, or AFL games since 2006.     In the first real preview to come out for Madden NFL 13 on PlayStation Vita the author at Polygon, Samit Sarkar, expressed a level of discomfort with the '13 being present in the title.
