    Mentioned in an earlier article an issue with progressing through MyCareer mode, specifically on the Xbox 360 and seemingly isolated to the 4GB hard drive version of the console, was immediately identified in NBA 2K13. Those playing the mode have found it impossible to advance beyond the first game in the regular season as the game freezes up at that point. 2K Sports yesterday submitted a patch to Microsoft to address the issue.     NBA 2K13 didn't only release on consoles this past week as a mobile version also arrived for the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and select higher-end Android tablets and phones. The game features the soundtrack chosen by Jay-Z, "NBA's Greatest Games" mode and a season mode, multiplayer through Game Center or Bluetooth, and classic or one-finger control schemes.     When EA Sports announced that NBA Live 13 had been cancelled it came as little surprise to anyone following developments behind the series. The signs have been there for months and were covered extensively. Still, despite seemingly all reasoning otherwise, the company claims work on Live will continue with a release next fall.     2K Sports has a history of trouble, particularly online-related, with the NBA 2K series during each year's respective release week. Generally online has been the high profile culprit but widespread freezing in various modes or other bugs have arisen early on that required immediate attention.     The roster update for Madden NFL 13 that follows week four of the season is scheduled to release by Saturday morning on the Xbox 360 and PS3. A new roster to use when starting up Connected Careers is also expected to be available within the next few days.
