Madden Social Officially Launches
The iOS app for Madden NFL Social is now available bringing together both ends of the new game as it went live two weeks ago on Facebook without any announcement. The free-to-play game can be managed either through Facebook or mobile providing for cross-platform play and blends some aspects of Ultimate Team mode and another Facebook game, Madden NFL Superstars, in a multiplayer turn-based environment. (more…)...

NHL 13 Adds Social Sharing Features
EA Sports has activated new social sharing features within NHL 13 that were made possible through the recent patch. The features were not detailed in the patch notes however the option is now available to anyone who is connected online and has downloaded it. Though being framed as "social sharing" the functionality for NHL 13 is limited to Facebook and can easily be enabled or disabled at any time from the main menu. NBA 2K13 Season Opener Roster Update Available Now
The NBA 2K13 roster update promised for the start of the regular season arrived early this morning. The latest roster comes after delivering an undeniably poor one yesterday, that had James Harden traded but several others involved in that deal still on their prior teams and many other players missing across the league, that was excused away by 2K Sports as an "old file". Disney Buys LucasFilm; Announces New Star Wars Films to Come
Very surprising news today of great significance as Disney has purchased LucasFilm for $4 billion in cash and stock. The acquisition is similar to the one made in 2009 for Marvel which of course has paid off big time with the stable of films that led to the humongous release of The Avengers and much more to come in that universe. Now Disney owns the rights to Star Wars and they wasted no time in announcing Star Wars: Episode VII will release in 2015. A new Star Wars film is planned for...

Another Round of Court Updates in NBA 2K13
Earlier today 2K Sports released more updates to courts in NBA 2K13 just in time for the start of the regular season. The Cavs new court is the only addition of the bunch while others get more in the way of minor adjustments. The Lakers have the center court line fixed to white while the Nets get the glossy look to the floor that had been missing and darker blue Barclay's Center text.
