SCEA today released the regular weekly roster update for MLB 14: The Show and this one stands out in magnitude due to the recent passing of the trade deadline. All the deals made last week are reflected in the new update.
The A's and Tigers bolster their already strong rotations by acquiring Jon Lester and David Price respectively. Yoenis Cespedes moves to the Red Sox, Austin Jackson to the Mariners, and John Lackey to the Cardinals. The injury to Cliff Lee is also handled in this update....

Guardians of the Galaxy Shatters August Box Office Record
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was expected to challenge for the highest opening weekend in August box office history but it blew right past 2007's Bourne Ultimatum which pulled in $69 million. Guardians finished the weekend with an estimated $94 million. That makes it the third biggest opening of the year behind only Transformers: Age of Extinction ($100 million) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($95 million).

Long-Planned Third Ghostbusters May Now Be Female-Led Reboot
Sony is now targeting Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) to direct its upcoming Ghostbusters film. The Hollywood reporter has the scoop which also notes the film is now envisioned as a reboot focusing on female Ghostbusters.
