Within the Operation Sports impressions it was mentioned that 2K Sports' Anthony Chau stated how they are considering All-Pro Football as a title that could be released every other year. However it depends on how well this one sells whether or not the franchise will have a future. Now, if everything is riding on how well 2K8 does, why are they pushing out a bare bones game that has no depth? This is a game that has no franchise mode, lacks presentation, doesn't have full customization opt...

IGN has posted up two gameplay vids from NBA Live 08 with a build dated June 14th. One features the Lakers vs Suns and the other has the Finals matchup of Cavs vs Spurs. You can view the videos through IGN's video page. You can also view them here via youtube by clicking through to the full article. These were rather short clips and the selection of them seems curious as they don't show off much or anything exciting in particular. This does however give a chance to get familiar with the ne...

Operation Sports has checked in from the media event they attended today with impressions from their hands-on with the game. Some of the details are going to be tough for those anticipating the game to swallow. Overall it seems that the game will cater to those who enjoyed 2K5 but many of the elements of what made it a success are missing. Below are some of the highlights (continue through to the full article for all of them): One negative is the presentation. There is a very barebones halft...
  • Madden 08 sideline catches video

Last week it was gang tackling that was given the spotlight. This week in his producer blog, Ian Cummings displays some of the sideline catches that are new to Madden 08 this year. Some notes from Cummings: You can see how we actually take awareness into account on these videos - a highly rated player like Gates is consistently getting his feet in, but then you can see a player like Vincent Jackson who's rated lower than Gates still can play the catch but possibly not get his feet in. T...

EA has released a new set of eight screenshots from Madden 08. So what stands out in these? That new Chargers jersey is sharp! The player models look improved over last year.  I didn't know Jamal Lewis could get off the ground. Someone really seems to like the Browns, Cardinals, and Broncos...  Click the thumbnails below to view the full size images.              ...

In one of the first true hands-on previews to come out, Vetzballin mentioned that there is an attribute for some quarterbacks called "signal stealer". Joe Montana had one listed for Signal Stealer for his ability to read and know exactly what the defense was doing. Quarterbacks with signal stealer as one of their attributes will be able to see what play you called on defense by pressing the X button. Not knowing all of the specifics makes it difficult to judge at this point. This wa...

Previously it was reported that edited rosters with player names would not display during online games of NCAA Football 08. However it has now been confirmed by EA that the issue was actually related to a bug in the game that has since been addressed, and that they will in fact display when playing online games on the 360 and PS3. This is fantastic news for those who edit or import roster files and play heavily online.   ...
