All-Pro Football 2K8 Hands-On from IGN

NCAA Football 08 demo likely to be released next week
Earlier it was confirmed that a demo would be released on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 in early July. It now appears that it will be coming in conjunction with E3 which is being held next week. Microsoft is "Bringing E3 Home" again this year, which includes game trailers, themes/gamer pictures and demos. NCAA Football 08 is among the games that are listed to have content released. Upcoming Madden 08 Community Event
Next week brings the annual Madden community event, in which a handful of community leaders get an opportunity to spend time with Madden 08. Unfortunately we will not be joined in person by the producers however we will be given an opportunity to submit any questions to them after. This year it will be taking place in Los Angeles and runs from the 10th-13th with the Madden gameplay session taking place on the 12th. Weekly Recap: June 25th-July 1st
Personally it was a very busy week as I was in New York for the NBA Live Community Event that brought about time with NBA Live 08 as well as attending the NBA Draft. Live 08 had a big week with not only the Community Day impressions but also with the exposure they got advertising. The other EA titles naturally seemed to take a back seat to Live, as NCAA Football 08 and Madden 08 both had less of a presence this week. The Bigs: Online Play Report
One important aspect of a sports title that usually doesn't get reviewed properly if at all is online play. Basically, since the media sites have the game early or are working off a dev kit, they don't have anyone to play online. That is why you see them review what they've been told is there for online, but rarely do they ever lay out how good it is. Issues such as distance lag in the EA Sports titles or broken leagues in the 2K titles generally aren't mentioned....
