Update on the expected demos
In conjunction with E3 will come the release of numerous demos. Of those that are expected, the most likely sports titles are NCAA Football 08 and All-Pro Football 2K8. If you want a long shot it could be Nascar 08. Updates are below as of 7/12. Also as I've noted before, don't be surprised if one or both are released only for the Xbox 360 and not for the PS3. Before the flow of news that will be coming out of E3 hits and before any demos drop, I figured it would be a good time to ask for some feedback on the site and suggestions on things to improve or add. The site has been growing at an extraordinary rate, so I'd really like to hear what everyone would like to see from it. Weekly Recap: July 2nd-8th
With E3 coming this week a lot is being held back. NBA Live 08 kept its strong push going though, revealing a handful of new features and I was able to talk about my thoughts on the Hot Spots. NCAA Football and All-Pro Football are to the point where everyone is just waiting on their demos. Padre’s The BIGS Rookie Challenge: Part 5
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 The next task was a training mini-game for Distance Hitting. Get as much distance as possible on each of the 10 swings. Padre hit five homeruns, but barely scraped out enough to move on as he fouled a few of the others off. In a 3 inning game @ the Rockies, Padre was told he needed to get an RBI in a victory. What to expect from E3
Running July 10th-13th, the revised E3 structure will provide for a different experience this year. It should lead to more detailed coverage from the media sites. Sony/MS/Nintendo and the game developers will be able to relay their messages in a stronger and more focused fashion. On the other hand it will probably mean less in the way of impressions from individuals. New NHL 08 hands-on preview
Back when I had an opportunity to visit the EA Canada studio and get an early look at a few upcoming games, the most obvious thing was when I saw NHL 08 was that graphically it looked fantastic. We've since seen that reinforced with the screenshots that have been released.
