There is also a brand new video that that spotlights the Create-a-Play as well as the On-the-Fly AI. With the upcoming create-a-play feature in NHL 08, EA Sports is looking to inject a new dose of tactics to the on-ice action. How will the ability to create plays change the way you attack your opponents? We've got the answers in our most recent look at the game. The Create-a-Play feature ...

Below is apparently the video that will play as Madden 08 loads up. Hard not to get psyched while watching. However I found myself more excited for the actual upcoming NFL season than Madden since it seemed to be more centered on real footage than game footage. ...

I was able to get my hands on this image which I've been able to gather comes from NHL 08. I'm not sure what it could signify for the game or if it means anything at all. Any ideas?...

IGN has posted two new Madden 08 articles. One details the stadium creator, and the other goes over Superstar mode. Superstar is very similar to NCAA Football's Campus Legend mode although it has one element that is specific to Madden. The use of "weapons" in the game and working your player towards acquiring them. I do find IGN's assertion that Superstar was the "best thing about Madden 07" to be puzzling. While the concept was great, the horrible camera a...

With the news now official, Kevin Garnett is a Celtic. He has been traded to Boston in exchange for Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, Theo Ratliff along with his expiring contract and two first round picks. Combining Garnett with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen in Boston is going to make for an exciting trio. This amounts to a huge swing in terms of how both teams will be viewed in the basketball games. I'll be doing power rankings in relation to how good every team should be in NBA L...

Gametrailers has posted a new video that has producers for Madden 08 discussing different improvements to the game on the technical side as well as new gameplay footage to go along with it. Some of the topics discussed include control responsiveness, branching animations, mid-air collisions, collision detection, gang tackling, AI, and fatigue. This was one of the more impressive videos put out for the game this year. Not only in hearing about all of the improvements and additions but also ho...
  • Some more online play reviews

A couple days ago I wrote an article regarding the lack of attention that online play gets in reviews. I included four of the main sites and what they wrote about the online play in NCAA Football 08 compared to the real situation which has been dreadful. The positive reaction to that article was overwhelming. There certainly is a faction out there that cares about online play and are disappointed with the current situation. Here is a new review for NCAA Football and a couple for ...
