March Madness 08 first hands-on preview

College Hoops 2K8 first hands-on and trailer
Gamespot has posted up their initial run through of College Hoops 2K8. You can also catch the first trailer for the game by continuing on. The sixth-man feature in 2K8 is represented as a meter that's shown at the bottom of the screen during a game. By default, the meter is green and will be filled depending on which team you're using (a big program like Duke, for example, will start with about half of its meter filled when playing at Cameron Indoor Arena). Cover of NFL Tour goes to Shawne Merriman
The results are in and according to the North County Times the winner of the honor to represent EA Sports' new title NFL Tour as the cover athlete is Shawne Merriman. Merriman beat out Jason Taylor and Dwight Freeney through the voting process which was conducted on the official NFL Tour website. NBA Live 08 to add online team play
In a surprising move, EA has announced that online team play will be added to NBA Live 08 via a free downloadable update. This will offer a complete five on five experience over 10 different consoles. Prior to the games starting each individual can choose a position to lock into, or if all 10 slots aren't filled by users you can choose to keep switching between players open during the games. Earlier today I was able to take part in an hour long conference call with Peter Moore of EA Sports. This was a unique opportunity to have direct communication and responses to questions with the president of the company on a wide variety of topics. NFL Tour cover announcement coming by tomorrow
According to the NFL Tour website the voting has been closed and the player who won the honor of being on the cover will be unveiled on Thursday October 11th. It is possible though that it could be announced prior to then. Going in Shawne Merriman appeared to be the favorite to win.
