Gamespot has posted up the first screens (11 of them) from MLB 2K8 along with an interview with producer Ben Brinkman. In it he talks about the improvements over last year as well as new features. You can check out the screens here and the interview here.
One good piece of news out of the interview is that a demo is expected for the PS3 and 360 and they are targeting early February....

Here are the final details for the NFL Tour Online Tournament taking place this evening. Make sure to read through them and then check out the bracket at the end.

NFL Tour Online Tournament
I am hoping to organize an NFL Tour Online Tournament for the Xbox 360 on the evening of Friday January 11th. If a date next week works better for the majority of people it can be switched until then. However in the meantime we'll shoot for tomorrow night.
The tournament will be made up of up to 16 participants and will begin at 9pm ET/6pm PT. Because NFL Tour games go by so quickly (most end up being about 10-15 minutes) the potential time commitment would not be that great. You would n...
NFL Tour online impressions
With NFL Tour in stores today I had the opportunity to get some time in playing online. After the poor performance from other Tiburon titles in the online arena this past year it was going to be interesting to see how well Tour turned out. EA specifically stated they were concentrating on the performance side for online play, which is why there aren't any modes other than the standard head-to-head. The most important thing going in was whether or not the game would be plagued by lag or disco...

Cover of MLB 08: The Show goes to Ryan Howard
SCEA has announced that Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard has been selected to be the cover athlete for MLB 08: The Show.
Known for his prolific power and ability to drive in runs, Howard is just the second player in Major League Baseball(TM) history to win the Rookie of the Year honors and a Most Valuable Player award in successive seasons. During his 2006 MVP season, Howard led the Major Leagues in home runs (58), which broke the record for most home runs in a sophomore season set in...
Another story on the relationship between media sites and game companies
VGMWatch posted an interesting article yesterday detailing the recent editorial from a bitter Electronic Gaming Monthly editor-in-chief Dan Hsu. In it he actually went out of his way to name particular companies who were no longer giving them access to provide pre-release coverage and reviews.
According to Hsu, Midway’s Mortal Kombat development team, Sony’s sports game division, and Ubisoft have all allegedly banned EGM/1Up from further coverage of their products. The reason:...
New IGN interview and video from The Show
A new MLB 08: The Show interview, screens, and video has been posted up over at IGN. The interview is massive spanning a full six pages and goes over improvements for 08 as well as more details on new features. There are 11 new screenshots and the video shows off gameplay through replay footage.
Despite all the news and media on the game, the cover announcement still hasn't been made. This is somewhat out of the ordinary so I'd expect that to be revealed soon. Prince Fielder, Matt Hollida...
