Willis McGahee came away victorious at the Madden Bowl by rolling over Marshawn Lynch in the championship game. EA Community Manager Will Kinsler posted up a series of blogs from the event. The blogs are basically a play-by-play of the evening and include a bunch of pictures. The final one has his thoughts on The NFL Experience which accompanies each Super Bowl. The next two videos I will be posting will have Australia vs Spain and Portugal vs Germany. If you have any requests for future matchups feel free to leave them in the comments and I'll try to get some of them in. Continue on to view the video. (more…)...

A couple weeks ago Dwight Howard and Al Horford were announced to be the cover athletes and spokesmen for NBA Ballers: Chosen One. The box art features Howard on the front and (presumably) Horford on the back. Click the thumbnail below to view it full size. Midway has just released the announcement trailer which spotlights Chuck D who takes over as MC and Just Blaze who handles soundtrack duties. Also included is some brief gameplay footage. This week the NBA Live OTP will take place on Saturday (2/2) beginning at 5PT/8ET. Two more games will be played and likely recorded with recaps and videos going up by Monday. Same procedures to be followed as the first two nights (meet in the pastapadre created lobby room with password otp). Vote in the poll for the two matchups to be played. I've tried again to put together teams that are relatively even and aren't dominated by a single superstar. Update: Based on the voting it'll be...

A new update to EA GameShow is set to be released next week. It looks as though they've been taking the comments and suggestions out there under consideration and acting on them. Recently I even had the opportunity to talk to Roy Harvey who is the executive producer. We were on the phone for about an hour talking about my thoughts on GameShow and what could be done to improve the experience. V1.2 changes known to be included Text chat: A bubble will appear over your avatar with text chat...

2K has released the first trailer for MLB 2K8. The general reaction thus far has been mixed. Not the usual level of excitement that is generally brought about by initial trailers. One big area of contention is how the sound effects vary from what is found in the first gameplay videos. Either the videos are from an old build which didn't include the sound effect upgrades or the trailer has just those added in for dramatic effect. Regardless it's yet another area of confusion surrounding 2K...

There have been a few hands-on previews of MLB 08: The Show posted recently. I've pulled a couple excerpts out below and click the links to read the full articles. IGN (PS3) What's particularly cool about this is that these stats wind up feeding the secondary stat feature, which is the new Headlines feature. Based on how your team happens to be doing within a season or a franchise mode, the game will pull the stats and automatically generate a number of news stories for your squad simila...

The official website for EA Sports newly announced title Facebreaker just went live. It appears that the site will be offering a lot of info, screens, and videos leading up to release all the while sticking to the same lighthearted and humorous style to match the game. There is an email address ( facebreakercommunity@ea.com ) already available for sending in suggestions for what you'd like to see on the site. Seems as though there will be a lot of community interaction with this title which ...
