NCAA Strategies, which has received a copy of NCAA Football 09 for the PS3, mentioned today that within the previews presented on the game is a quick trailer which lets on to a name change for the March Madness franchise. It will now simply be known as NCAA Basketball. It looks like Fred @ SG was actually the first to notice. 2K Sports' decision to end their College Hoops franchise opened up the door for this change. It makes sense in that the name matches the football branding and it will ...

The increased shift towards community involvement and interaction have paid dividends for several of the upcoming EA Sports titles. The first real development towards this was with the early community event for NBA Live last year. After proving to be a success it has led to events around games such as NCAA Football, Madden, and NHL where feedback could be taken early enough to be considered and acted upon. Now for a second straight year the NBA Live 09 community event offered the same opportun...

The controversy surrounding the "business" of rosters has been in the public eye more so this year than any before. That in itself threatens the future of having an editing option in games such as EA Sports NCAA Football and NCAA Basketball. This year with the addition of the EA Locker feature and the following announcement hopefully that is about to change. I can now state that the first and only fully named roster file for NCAA Football 09 on the Xbox 360 currently resides in my EA Lock...

Those who frequent the forum have known since Thursday that I have been heading towards making an announcement related to NCAA Football 09. That announcement now looks as though it will be coming tonight. Just to be clear everything there is to know about NCAA 09 is out there and this will not be a reveal of something new about the game. It does however relate to the game and should be something that the community will be very pleased about. Once an exact time for the announcement can be...

I wanted to give the community the opportunity to select what game that will be in week one. Notre Dame and Florida State do not compete in week one and therefore are not listed. Vote in the poll below for the matchup that you would most like to see featured! {democracy:32}...

The first uploaded videos from NCAA Football 09 to EA Sports World have gone up allowing for the opportunity to see how they look this year. As the site has improved they have also added the ability to embed the videos. Since there are limitations to how many you can store it'll be more useful for short term viewings but is still nice to have nonetheless. Check them out on the NCAA 09 page of EASW or on the actual profile page where you can select them and view on a larger player. I've adde...
