Ongoing NCAA Basketball 09 Community Event
EA Sports is currently hosting a community event for NCAA Basketball 09. Community manager Marcus Stephenson is running a live blog of the event on EA Sports World which stretches through tomorrow. Madden 09 Sales Increase From Last Year
In an interview with Gamasutra EA Sports president Peter Moore stated that the sales for Madden 09 are up 6% over 08 and have accounted for $133.5 million in retail sales. Despite pre-orders being down, both NCAA and Madden produced strong sales numbers besting last year. This is being attributed primarily to the improved quality of the product. NFL Head Coach 09 Roster Update #2
The second roster update for NFL Head Coach 09 is now out for both the PS3 and 360. It includes a ton rating increases/decreases, health changes, and added players. There are also transactions that were completed for the update but they are not included in this list. Facebreaker Impressions
Facebreaker kicks off EA Sports new Freestyle brand of games which is focused on accessibility and directed more towards the casual group of gamers. The price is even lower than the standard games in order to make them more appealing to a wider group of consumers. Update on the Madden 09 Roster Update #2
Madden producer Phil Frazier has informed me that the second roster update for 09, which did not arrive as scheduled over the weekend, is now out for both the 360 and PS3. Apparently there were several bugs that were caught in testing that had to be ironed out first before going through yet another round of testing. This update will be the same as originally detailed. NBA Live 09 Demo Thoughts
While I'm going to save a more detailed comparison of the build that was played at the community event for the final version of the game, I wanted to get up some random things I noted from playing the NBA Live 09 demo. Tom Brady Injury Will Make Roster Update Obsolete
In an ironic turn of events the injury that appears to have ended Tom Brady's season will also put a big hole in the delayed roster update for Madden 09 that has been heavily discussed over the weekend. First Facebreaker Highlights
