I went ahead and recorded videos of some of the games. Joining me (#31) was Will Kinsler aka Raczilla of EA Sports (#29), Damon Peterson of Madden Planet (#16), and Vince Waller aka Nix who helps me with the site (#5). I'll have more to put up over the next few days but wanted to get at least a full game for everyone to watch now. I've also got two highlights from EASW with the only goal I've scored and an assist to Rac for his goal. Both came in the same game within the span of about two mi...

After spending all night playing EASHL in NHL 09 it is clear that this is one of if not the best feature a sports game has ever offered. I sat down in the early evening and didn't expect to play for very long. Six hours later I was still online. It was probably the most fun I've had playing a video game in years. It easily topped the Online Team Play experience from the 08 games thanks in part to having the games count and having your own self to play for. When the game starts up you crea...

At a recent Gamestop convention there were some game previews shown for upcoming titles. One of them, as introduced by EA Sports president Peter Moore, being Fight Night Round 4. In the US the Fight Night franchise has become the biggest seller and most sure thing for EA Sports behind Madden. The footage is pretty impressive especially considering the game is still about six months off from release. Continue on to view the video of the game in action along with voice over description of s...

Official NPD sales numbers for August have been released and as expected it was Madden that dominated the month. A few days ago EA Sports president Peter Moore talked about the 6% sales increase and now we have the detailed breakdown. Dollar wise thanks to a shift towards the more expensive 360/PS3 versions as well as the Collector's Edition it was a bigger pickup than just the total sales would represent. 360: 1,000,000 (+103,400) PS3: 643,000 (+306,800) Wii: 115,800 (+20,000) PS2: 42...

Here is the complete list of changes for the third Madden 09 roster update. There are some ratings adjustments, though just one week of play won't correspond to a significant difference. It is the injuries that dominate the importance of this update. Tom Brady and Vince Young are the biggest names affected. The targeted release of this update has been for tomorrow and I will update with further information on the timing (as of Friday morning the update is out). Producer Phil Frazier did t...

In news that comes as somewhat of a surprise, Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves is the cover athlete for EA Sports NCAA Basketball 09. Love entered the NBA Draft after his freshman season at UCLA and was taken fifth in the draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. He was then involved in a trade for OJ Mayo that sent him to Minnesota. He averaged 17.5 ppg and 10.6 rpg and helped lead UCLA to the Final Four. Love was certainly not the most likely choice to get the cover. Both Derek Rose and M...
