  • MLB Front Office Manager Price Revealed

One of the frequent comments when discussing 2K Sports' MLB Front Office Manager has been that interest would be had only at a lower price point than the standard $60 game. There is legitimate concern as to whether a game of this nature can succeed on the consoles, especially after the relatively low sales and interest that NFL Head Coach was able to capture. Baseball fans though are more likely to be attracted to a game of this nature than football fans were to Head Coach. The question a...
  • Looking At Some Early NBA Live DNA Changes

While there continue to be some hiccups involved with the 365 feature in NBA Live 09 much of it now appears to be working. The data from the games so far this year is feeding in providing the Rewind games (though they are several days behind) and DNA changes. The more games that are played the more accurate the DNA should be. Still I thought it would be interesting to look at a handful of players and see how their DNA compares to what originally shipped on the game. There is nothing out t...

Having resolved the audio problems while recording I wanted to post up a couple videos from the demo. Kentucky is a half-court team, Tennessee up-tempo, and the two classic teams are balanced. The teams playing to their tempo should be evident through the videos. Make sure to check out my impressions as well as read through the comments on the last couple articles for more thoughts on the NCAA Basketball 09 demo from the community. The first is Kentucky @ Tennessee followed by 79 Michigan...

The NCAA Basketball 09 demo came out earlier today marking the release of one of the more important demos we'll see given the circumstances. In a good move EA included four different teams, the ability to change cameras and difficulty levels, and made it a full eight minute half. Structurally it is one of the best sports game demos ever offered. How the game is being received though seems to be mixed, with some seeing improvement over Live 09 and others actually thinking it is a step back fr...

The demo for NCAA Basketball 09 is out now for the Xbox 360 and will be this afternoon (usually around 3pm PT) on the PS3. Coming in at 875.89 MB it features two four different teams that can be used in any combination. Kentucky, Tennessee, 1979 Michigan State, and 1982 North Carolina. In a pleasant surprise the demo lets you choose from six different camera angles, four different difficulty levels, and is a full 8 minutes half. If there has been one really frustrating thing about sports ...

Having sorted through the technical problem that delayed the original roster update #10 for Madden 09, EA Sports now is set to release it on Friday. There have been additional changes made to what was going to come out last week as this will reflect what would've been in this week's update as well. For example Daunte Culpepper is now on the Lions. Continue on to view the changes that will come in this update which include all the transactions, ratings up/down, injuries, and contract exten...
  • NCAA Basketball 09 Top Rated Players

With the demo for NCAA Basketball due out tomorrow (approximately 2am PT for the 360, 3pm PT for the PS3) here is the always fun to discuss first look at player ratings. Game Cinema HD has lists of the top 20 players at each position and their overall rating. I expect the initial reaction will be that the numbers are strikingly low. However make sure to take into consideration that now with the NBA Live engine there are a ton of ratings categories that factor into an overall. Players can ...

Ever since the announcement of MLB Front Office Manager nearly a month ago there has been some good initial info provided along with a batch of screenshots. It has actually been outside of 2K Sports' M.O. to have this much about a game out this early, with the release date not coming until late January. The details on the game continue with Jon Robinson of ESPN having an interview with producer Edwin Loo. A bunch of topics are discussed at length. If you have any interest in the game it i...
