First Preview of MLB 2K9
Gamespot has posted up a hands-on preview for MLB 2K9, though the hands-on part encompassed only a single inning. They also have four new screenshots for the game.
There's no jaw-dropping feature in MLB 2K9 that looks to reinvent baseball games entirely. What the development team has done, instead, is pay attention to the complaints about MLB 2K8 and directly address them. While the preview code we played still looked and felt early (with graphical hitches aplenty), producers told us the de...
First Images of FNR4
The recent Game Informer that had some new details on Fight Night Round 4 also included the first screenshots from the game. Someone took the time to transfer them online providing the opportunity for everyone to check them out. They focus on the young Mike Tyson that seems likely to be on the cover of the game.
I've added the images to the screenshot gallery. Even as a launch title for the 360, FNR3 still graphically matches up with with the sports titles being released today. FNR4 may e...
The Line Drive 1/25
Last week I contributed on a piece at 360sync.com on who appears to be the top candidates for the Madden 2010 cover on the defensive side of the ball. You can check that out here.
With 3 on 3 NHL Arcade coming to XBL on February 4th (and presumably the next day for PSN) there have been a handful of hands-on previews. I'm hoping to be able play it and give my impressions and post some videos prior to release also. In the meantime check out the previews at Gamespot and IGN.

MLB FOM 2nd Developer Diary
It may have taken over two months but the second developer diary video is now out for MLB Front Office Manager. This one focuses on scouting, evaluating, and drafting talent.
Unfortunately we still know next to nothing about the online fantasy leagues and the game is out in two days. I'm still interested in running one of the leagues, however given the circumstances I'm going to wait to make sure it will even be worthwhile to do so. If the mode is promising then I'll put up another postin...
Final Madden Roster Update Coming Next Week
I've been sent some information in regards to the next Madden roster update. The hope is to have it out by the end of next week. This will be the final one for 09 and will include the removal of players from the IR. It will not be limited to the teams that were in the playoffs as it will include updates for the entire league.
Apparently this update may be more significant than any we've seen all year, with some sweeping changes to more reflect the performances of this season and address p...
MLB 09 The Show Hands-On From OS
Various media outlets got a chance earlier this week to spend some time with MLB 09 The Show and its developers. Operation Sports has their full preview and has also posted an interview with an online producer. Overall the game sounds like it is pretty much what everyone is expecting. I wish I was able to say the interview made me more confident about online performance this year though.
In real baseball, it is easy enough to figure out who the stars are and why they mean so much to their r...
