More From MLB 09 The Show
Before I get into more detailed discussions on MLB 09 The Show I decided to create a few more videos and a handful of screenshots. This is a lengthy process as the 6-10 minute videos take about two hours to upload and about as long to process and become HD. After this posting I will continue to include some videos but they will be more focused on a related topic.
General impressions, an online play report (not good at all so far), and a "mini-review" will start to come tomorrow and throug...
MLB 09 The Show Is Here
Having received my copy of MLB 09 The Show on Saturday afternoon I worked to make sure I could at least get up some videos and a handful of screenshots. Further coverage in the way of impressions, online play thoughts, a deeper look at some features and more videos and screens will come beginning Sunday night.
Continue on to see nine screenshots and four different videos in HD. If you have any screenshot or match-up requests feel free to leave them in the comments and I'll pull some of th...
Madden Off-Season Screens Set #2
It's just the second day of free agency and joining all the signings comes a huge trade as Matt Cassel (along with Mike Vrabel) is sent to the Chiefs with the Patriots receiving their 2nd round pick in return. In the most prominent case of a player identified with a particular team moving on we have Brian Dawkins who joins the Broncos and leaves behind the Eagles who he very much helped to define over the years.
If you missed the first set of screenshots you can check them out here. Conti...
Early Response to 2K9 and The Show Online Play
As a baseball gaming fan it was frustrating to have both games last year struggle with online play. MLB 2K8 offered arguably the worst online play for any sports game this generation and MLB 08 The Show was only slightly better as performance was extremely inconsistent.
So going into this year both 2K and SCEA have discussed how they expect online to be better. In the case of MLB 09 The Show I still had the sense that there wasn't much confidence that they had actually fixed lag issues, t...
Madden Off-Season Screens Set #1
There has been a great deal of player movement in these early hours of free agency. As I did last year I am going to try and keep track of the major transactions and put the players in their respective new uniforms in Madden 09.
I'm attempting to wait until the deals have been made official and have a bunch more ready to go that are approaching that point. This is just the first set. Look for another Saturday evening and additional ones as warranted. Be sure to leave your thoughts on the ...

NCAA Football 10: Its In The Details
In the second blog focused on NCAA Football 10, designer Adam Thompson goes over some of the new additions to the game that would be considered as small but authentic details. Included are field goal nets, camera flashes, and team specific bowl endzones. You can read the full posting on the Inside EA Blog which includes a few screenshots here.
Before we had to use a single piece of art for every field. With 120 teams and 38 bowl and championship games there was no way to create a field ...
