A new posting on the Inside EA Blog details an upcoming community event for NCAA Football 10 and how the philosophy and ultimate intentions of these events have changed over the years. EA Sports has especially engaged the community over the last five years or so and now SCEA has begun to do so with The Show. Both companies have recognized that the community is valuable not only as consumers but also as a resource for making their games better. Why tell you about the event if you won't hear ...

One of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans has arrived with the NCAA Tournament starting on Thursday. I have set up a bracket challenge for the site which will be tracked throughout the course of the tourney. I'm currently attempting to secure a few small prizes that will be given out to entrants randomly selected from the group which may or may not happen. Even if that doesn't come about the winner will still receive a prize being their choice of a 1600 MS points card or ...

A recent preview from Gamespy discusses how Fight Night Round 4 is completely removing the option to use the buttons to punch. Button mashing has been banished. Round 4 is going to force you to use the right stick to punch. After years of enduring randomly button-mashing boxers, I'm relieved to hear that they'll have to work a little harder to land some blows. Pe...

Continue on to view the latest screens and leave your thoughts on how the players will affect their new teams as well as their Madden impact. (more…...

Coming out of the EA Sports Season Opener event I wanted to drop a few thoughts on some of the games that were on display. I won't have full extensive write-ups on them but from my interaction with them will now have additional insight leading up to their releases. I also had the opportunity to interview Peter Moore which I'll be discussing in the near future. Check out the screenshot gallery for the latest images from these games. Tiger Woods 10 Outside of Fight Night I'd say this was t...

On Thursday EA Sports World launched a video mashup/highlight reel feature to the website. This is something that was actually alluded to in the survey I wrote about a month ago. With it you can string together highlights you have uploaded to the website and utilize some of the audio and visual effects that are provided to create a unique highlight reel. All highlights that you currently have stored on the website will be available for use and there is no restriction on using clips from d...
