Last week Donny Moore mentioned on Twitter that the top three rated teams in Madden 10 are the Steelers, Patriots, and Eagles. Certainly the Steelers coming off the Super Bowl win and the Patriots with Tom Brady back are the obvious choices. The Eagles got to the NFC Championship last year and had a great offseason so they make a lot of sense to be right there. The more I looked at other teams the more I realized they are justified to be third. I believe that the Chargers could be include...

With the demo for Fight Night Round 4 out (to Gamestop preorders) and with decidedly mixed reaction, producer Brian Hayes made sure to address some of the common complaints being made in a posting on the EA Sports forum. If these issues were addressed as stated than most will probably be satisfied with the difference between demo and final version. Generally though the demo is fairly representative of the final product. Also of note is that while the demo will be out for everyone else on ...

IGN has posted up hands-on impressions of Madden 10. While the preview does touch primarily on areas of the game that have already been discussed there are more in-depth details to be found. There are also 14 new screenshots which you can take a look at here. The screens focus on QBs and pocket protection. Keep in mind that there are some big announcements still under wraps for Madden with some of them coming at E3. That is what I'm really waiting on to provide some excitement for this ye...
  • The BIGS 2 Mini-Games

A new trailer is out for The BIGS 2 that focuses on the mini-games. Home Run Pinball was very popular with the original The BIGS so that prominently returns with a few new venues such as Las Vegas and Tokyo. There are numerous other mini-games that have been created this time around and they are also quite un-traditional. They'll be used to train your player in the career mode but look like they could be a lot of fun even as standalone mini-games. Continue on to check out the video and le...
  • FNR4 Highlight Clips

One of the features recently discussed in various media articles on Fight Night Round 4 is the ability to take replays and upload them to EA Sports World. At any point in a fight you can pause the game, go into replay mode for that round, and cut out a portion to upload. I've always enjoyed the highlight features in games and hope there is a way to save them following the conclusion of online fights also. The demo actually contains this same functionality and a bunch of highlights are bei...
  • FNR4 Demo Footage

With the FNR4 demo now available to those who preordered through Gamestop there are a bunch of new videos making their way out. So far it seems as if the impressions of the game are mixed from those who have played the demo and the comments made from watching the footage. From my short time having played the game it is graphically and technically impressive and certainly seemed fun but the issues being noted appear to be justified. I went through and located a few of the demo videos that ...

Jon Robinson of ESPN has posted up his "Five Things to Know" article for NHL 10 which focuses on physicality. The new fighting system is discussed at length including how they now are first-person, how the fights impact the games, how they are presented, team toughness levels, and penalties for hitting after the whistle. Check out the article in full here. "Once you drop the gloves, the camera switches to a third-person view and you'll see your player drop his gloves, then the camera goes t...
  • FNR4 Demo Out Tomorrow

The demo for Fight Night Round 4, which features the Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton match-up, will be out on the 360 and PS3 tomorrow. Unfortunately it will only be available to those who have preordered and received a special download code from Gamestop. There are a limited amount of codes that are being provided to those who preordered the game in a store or online. This is a practice that I am not in favor of and it is a shame that EA is taking that route. It is one thing to provide in...
