Judging Road to Glory without having even reached college would've been premature. Still even after just the beginning of a long journey there was a lot to take from the first update. While noticing the general improvements to gameplay there continue to be some issues with different aspects of the mode. However there remains a lot to look forward to with the special presentation that will come as the career continues and milestones are accomplished. The first of those happens following the Hig...

Far and away most anticipated aspect of NCAA Football 10 has been the addition of Teambuilder. As always there is some trepidation at first when it comes to whether a new feature will work properly especially at release time. I have been able to dig into the feature and create a quick walkthrough of the steps. Continue on to check that out along with some screenshots of different created teams! (more…)...

My first mission with NCAA Football 10 was to get into Road to Glory mode. I've enjoyed Campus Legend in the past but a lack of updates or improvements caused me to lose interest. Given that I've now only gotten through the first two High School tournament games it is too early to tell whether the additions will change that feeling. Continue on for a recap of those two games and general thoughts on the mode thus far. (more…)...

I have been informed that a copy of NCAA Football 10 may be arriving today (update: I have a PS3 version on hand). Coverage will begin tomorrow if that is the case but likely won't be anywhere near as comprehensive as usual in these situations. I have limited time this weekend and then will be out of town all next week. There are also certain restrictions that have been placed on what can be covered. No videos or formal impressions of the game are allowed until early next week, so I'll try t...
  • The BIGS 2 Hard Drive Performance Evaluation

As I have been doing with the latest releases the first thing I compare on a new game is the performance differences on the 360 when running the game from the disc vs installed to the hard drive. Once again it's important to reiterate that loading time is not the only benefit of installing to the hard drive. The console runs quiet and cool because it isn't working constantly reading off the disc. Continue on for the results with The BIGS 2. (more…)...

Randy Couture is expected to be the cover athlete for EA Sports MMA according to SportsBusiness Daily (via First Cuts). The game is still a year away from releasing but this news makes it clear that he will be most recognizable name that EA obtains. Former five-time UFC champion Randy Couture is believed to be the only fighter currently under contract to Zuffa who will appear in the EA version. "The Natural" managed to ink an exclusive deal during his 11-month courtroom fight with the UFC. ...

Yesterday Gamestop sent out an email detailing the plans for the Madden 10 demo. The exclusive five minute quarters demo featuring the Cardinals vs Steelers will be available to download using the code obtained from Gamestop on Thursday July 23rd. Those codes will apparently be available in the stores on July 15th. They will be in limited supply so it would be a good idea to call the stores on that day and head in to get it before they're all gone. What wasn't clear from the email was whe...

Over at Joystiq they've been able to uncover what appears to be a new quasi-game from 2K Sports that will tie in with NBA 2K10. Called NBA 2K10: Draft Combine, the game will allow users to run potential draftees through the ringer and increase their stats for transferring over to NBA 2K10. It would be a downloadable only game available on XBL and PSN. You can read their story on it here. No word on potential pricing or tie-ins with NBA 2K10. Certainly from the description it would be diff...
