The website for NBA Live 10 launched earlier this evening and with it came new screenshots and what appears to be the slogan for this year. The site also confirms the already known date of Tuesday October 6th for release. The slogan is "Authentic basketball experience...all season long". This is clearly referring to the Live 365 feature but also points towards the desire to produce more of a sim game that has the authentic touches (such as unique player routines) that fans can get really ...
  • Fight Night Knocked Out in June Sales

Fight Night has proven one of the few sports franchises that has mainstream appeal. Fight Night Round 3 represented the second strongest franchise in US sales for EA Sports behind only Madden. After taking a few years off Fight Night Round 4 came out last month though it was difficult to judge the buzz around the game. Discussion online primarily centered around the controversial decision to remove the optional button control scheme and UFC 2009 Undisputed had released to high praise. We ...
  • NCAA Football 10 Impressions

While I haven't been able to spend extensive time with NCAA Football 10 I did want to post up my initial impressions. After reading through some reviews it's clear that the game is getting credit for things it probably shouldn't, but also getting knocked in areas unfairly. I stated in my E3 impressions that people who enjoyed NCAA 09 would likely enjoy NCAA 10 a great deal, and that those who strongly disliked 09 would not feel differently this year. It appears that has come to fruition with...
  • Public Madden 10 Demo Keeps Getting Worse

After the disappointment with the structure of the Fight Night Round 4 demo rollout (two weeks early for Gamestop preorders) I was hopeful that a similar situation wouldn't be encountered again. Unfortunately the more information that comes out about the demo situation for Madden 10 the more disappointing it becomes. At first it was discovered that Gamestop preorders would get a full five minute quarters demo featuring the Super Bowl match-up of Steelers vs Cardinals. That was to be the i...
  • Glimpse at NBA Live 10 Game Intro

It looks like Dwight Howard has posted the first video showing off NBA Live 10. The footage comes from a media event yesterday with the introductions and pre-game rituals on display. While it doesn't offer a lot it does show a change to the intro presentation and how the game will have a bunch of signature rituals not just Lebron's powder toss as featured in the only screenshot released thus far. Check out the video here and then leave your thoughts in the comments!...
  • NCAA Fixed Rosters Available Now

We now have the names of the EA Lockers that contain the "fixed" rosters for NCAA Football 10. The rosters that shipped with the game were incomplete. Some teams had no or very few freshman and there were also players still around who had graduated and moved on. These rosters are simply the "fixed" rosters in that they are what should have gone out with the final version of the game. They are not the named rosters. It may be the weekend before anyone completes a fully named roster set. While...

Here is the second set of NCAA Football 10 videos. Featured in this group are four portions of gameplay with the community based created team the Pastapadre Ninjas. There was one more significant video with the Ninjas in their away uniforms which had probably the best results of all but I've been unable to get that video up and may not be able to until the weekend. (more…)...

Restrictions have now been lifted allowing for the posting of videos that I have been putting together since getting NCAA Football 10 on Friday. Since the videos are in HD they make for a lengthy process converting and uploading so I am pleased to have completed 12 of them in all. Included in this posting is a full game with Purdue @ South Carolina broken down by quarter. Also a short clip from the first High School Road to Glory game and the first few minutes of a game using my Teambuild...
