The Hobbit May Be Stretched Into Trilogy

Reports are now surfacing that Peter Jackson has decided he would like The Hobbit to be three films instead of two. Until now the plans have been for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to release on December 14, 2012 and The Hobbit: There and Back Again on December 13, 2013. Now Jackson and Warner Bros. are investigating how to go about making it a trilogy instead.
