The NCAA Football series has proven to be the worst culprit of slow loading times this generation. Relief unfortunately hasn’t come with NCAA Football 13 as the waits are comparable with recent years. Some slight improvement have been made when loading into games but on the flip side booting to the main menu takes even longer. As usual installing to the hard drive on the Xbox 360 provides some notable savings.Â

Load into Play Now w/ Teambuilder-Â 50 seconds disc vs 37 seconds HDDÂ (13 seconds)

Load into Saved RTG/Heisman-Â 7 seconds disc vs 6 seconds HDD (1 seconds)
NCAA has been able to address laggy navigation and menus for the most part but the lengthy load times remain troublesome. The initial boot process is now 20 seconds longer than it was going back to NCAA 11 while going into and out of games has gotten quicker (though only by a couple seconds). Installing to the hard drive is recommended for the reduced noise and wear and tear put on the system in addition to any improvements seen in loading times.
