SEGA will be delivering two demos for the upcoming Virtua Tennis 4 that will be exclusive to the PS3. Just last week it was announced that the PS3 would be receiving exclusive content for the game in the way of a few extra legends and party games.
Players will be able to get a jump start on the “board game style” career mode by playing through a portion of the first year which will include character creation and a few tournaments. The progress will be saved and transferred to the full game for those who purchase it. This particular demo is expected out on April 12th in the US and 13th in Europe. A second demo that showcases the PlayStation Move and 3D features will be coming as well but the release date has yet to be nailed down for that one.
It’s disappointing for those on the 360 that no demo has been announced, but at the same time one hasn’t been specifically ruled out either. It could be that a more basic demo or one featuring an opportunity to try out the Kinect functionality will release. That would make these PS3 demos technically “exclusive” in the sense of what they offer rather than being the only platform to offer a chance to play the game pre-release.
