New on DVD: Week of August 31

After two dreadful weeks of releases, things pick up a little this week. While the week may not be spectacular, one movie stands out as one you should surely see. Harry Brown stars Michael Caine as a fed up citizen who becomes a vigilante. Think a British Gran Torino sans the blatant racism. It did pretty well in reviews and scored a 67% ‘Fresh Rating’ on Rottentomatoes.com. At the very least give it a rent. Here is the full release schedule broken up by standard DVD and Blu-ray:
