Typically I wouldn’t find much interest in a PR release of movie stills however in this case the new ones that come from Resident Evil: Afterlife are a little more compelling. They feature a new character from the games making a debut in the movie series. Chris Redfield, one of the main protagonists from the Resident Evil games, will be played by Wentworth Miller (Prison Break).
Resident Evil: Afterlife represents the fourth entry in the franchise after the original Resident Evil (2002), RE: Apocalypse (2004), and RE: Extinction (2007). Those three have all been profitable due to reasonably modest budgets combining to gross over $140 million domestically. Afterlife has been filmed using the same camera system introduced and utilized by James Cameron in Avatar for the 3D. Resident Evil: Afterlife is slated to release on September 10th. You can check out the first trailer for the film here.
