With only about two months to go until it arrives the first news on NBA 2K20 was made today. New addition to the Los Angeles Lakers and 2K16 cover athlete, Anthony Davis, will appear on the cover of the Standard and Deluxe editions of the game. Recently retired Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has received the honor of representing the Legend Edition.
As to relevant info on the actual game the only thing of note out is the introduction of the WNBA which has been underutilized by the NBA Live series for the past few years. Late July or early August is when to expect more substantial details on features and improvements.
In a positive development it appears that all editions of the game will release on the same day instead of those that want to play day one being forced to pay extra to do so. NBA 2K20 will be out on Friday, September 6.
