Default NBA Live 09 Q&A

So we've been cleared to discuss everything about the game other than the secret feature and anything to do with online play. My report on the event is up now.

Feel free to ask questions about anything else, just keep in mind I had limited time with the game and won't be able to answer many. Also note that I did not sit in on any presentation to do with dynasty mode or look into the mode myself.

Hey Pasta, did you find the new ankle breaker dribbling moves to be a step up from the dribbing from last year? (I'm guessing not so much since you couldn't get DW passed his defender)

After reading your hands on report, it's discouraging that they didn't fix many of the things from last years game like passing and responsiveness. I asked one of the producers from the EA NBA Live board a few weeks ago and he said they changed the passing and it would be much better this year...guess that wasn't correct.

Yes, I honestly didn't have to make any adjustments even though timing didn't matter last year. I guess I just always still timed shots the way I thought they should be anyway. So in that regard I was comfortable with it.

It has the potential to be, I just didn't find it all that useful in the build we played.

There's still time to work on it, I hope stressing that area will make sure that they make proper adjustments. It really hurt the flow of the game for me.

Pasta, did you notice a lot of different shot block animations? Or at least better shot block animations with more variety than last year...

Off the top of my head I don't really what the shot blocks looked like.

are they going to add throwback jerseys? How was the rebounding, did balls hit the floor?

You mentioned something about direct passing, do they not have icon passing anymore?
