I'm excited for this coming tomorrow. It even includes Photo Face so that you can upload a picture to put that face on a body (the full game will let you create a whole character after uploading the face). You can then even upload your created character to EASW and other people can download them.
Check out the tutorial video: http://www.pastapadre.com/2820/faceb...-face-tutorial I'm thinking about a contest for the best created character after the game is released. |

Granted I just got started and need practice but damn even on the easiest setting I'm getting my ass kicked.

I like your namesake creation, Padre. It's like a cross between Oscar De La Hoya, Eddie Guerrero (R.I.P.), and HHH's body. Not too big on boxing games, but Facebreaker might be the one I get because it looks fun.

Yeah I'm enjoying it so far. I'll have full impressions and videos up sometime this weekend. As I get more time with it and get better at it I'm uncovering the strategical element to it. I don't think you have to like boxing games to enjoy a game like this, I'm actually not really into them and this is more of a fighting game anyway.

Actually no. I think the difference is in the "combo" aspect of those games which I just could never get to a point where I'd know them without having to think about them. They seemed more frustrating than fun. What is potentially nice about Facebreaker is that you can improve but they've still kept it simple with the rock-paper-scissors model. It took a few minutes but after that it started to feel natural and I was responding much quicker to the circumstances.

Yeah, the whole concept of them keeping the gameplay fairly simple really appeals to me. Plus, the whole ability to literally put your own face in the game and create a fighter to me is a very novel approach, especially if you don't like any of the characters already in the game.
