One thing to look for out of this is how these ratings compare to those of past years. After the ratings got dangerously top-heavy in Madden NFL 16 it was stated that a new ratings scale could be implemented with Madden 17. Based on these numbers it appears any adjustment actually made to the ratings scale will be minimal, and that’s if any has been made at all.
Ramsey as the highest rated rookie at 82 matches last year’s 82 for Amari Cooper. Elliott’s 80 is the same as what Todd Gurley received in Madden 16. The rest of the group, in the high 70s, is typical of Madden’s rookie ratings. In Madden 16 the top 10 rookies were all between 77-82, with Madden 15 the top of the rookie class rated between 78-83.
