Disney•Pixar has officially announced a sequel to the hit 2003 animated film Finding Nemo which went on to make $920 million worldwide and has held up as one of the company’s most beloved efforts. This time the focus will fall on Dory, the Blue Tang with a short-term memory loss problem, who’ll again be voiced by Ellen DeGeneres.
“Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life.
Andrew Stanton returns as director. Finding Dory is expected to release Thanksgiving 2015.
