EA Sports today announced a new feature for FIFA 13 known as Match Day. Commentary will include references to real world events with elements such as performance, injuries, suspensions, and gossip to be discussed.
Through EA SPORTS Football Club Match Day, fans will be following the heartbeat of football and their favourite club. Real-world fixtures and upcoming clashes of their favourite club in the top leagues will enable them to play right along with the beats of the season. Player form—displayed in detail within the team management screens—will change frequently, so players in form, or players struggling to keep form, will see their stats change throughout the season based on their real-world performances.
Also promoted today are some improvements to the very popular Online Seasons – which was easily my favorite new feature introduced last year – by introducing co-op (limited to 2v2), adding division titles and a trophy cabinet, and saving line-ups and tactics so they carry over from match to match. Seasons are also making their way into Ultimate Team mode.
The demo will include the new Match Day commentary and is set to release on Tuesday, September 11 for both the 360 and PS3. Continue on for a brand new trailer and leave your thoughts on the latest news for FIFA 13 in the comments!Â
