NBA 2K13 Early Gameplay Footage

2K Sports last night debuted some early footage from NBA 2K13. Like last year at E3 the showing focuses primarily on a casual aspect of the game –  2K12 was about PlayStation Move controls and this time around it’s the Slam Dunk Contest for the recently announced All-Star Weekend content.

There is a brief look at actual gameplay though with the Spurs at Thunder before getting a glimpse at the Dunk Contest which many are describing as having “Guitar Hero” controls and for good reason. 2K did warn about this though by touting “all-new intuitive, pick-up-and-play controls” for the All-Star Weekend activities but understandably no one really had this in mind. One comment made by the 2K rep that certainly won’t sit well with fans is that all that’s being asked for out of NBA 2K13 is “more of the same”.
