Second Phase of the Cover Competition’s Sweet 16 Round for NHL 13 Opens

The excessively long process to determine the cover athlete for NHL 13 – which began in late March and won’t end until June 20 – continues as the second half of the Sweet 16 round has opened and will run until May 10.  The 4 matchups available now to vote on are Pavel Datsyuk vs T.J. Oshle, Henrik Lundqvist vs Erik Karlsson, Pekka Rinne vs Patrick Sharp, and Jordan Eberle vs John Tavares. Head to the NHL.com cover vote page to take part.

All the higher seeds from the earlier pairings advanced to the final 8: Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Evgeni Malkin, and Anze Kopitar.
