New Trailer for The Dark Knight Rises Attached to The Avengers

Warner Bros has announced that the third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is set to play in front of The Avengers when it opens on May 4. That a trailer for a DC Comics property is attached to a Marvel film actually isn’t unprecedented – The Dark Knight had a trailer in front of Iron Man in 2008. Director Christopher Nolan also had Inception featured in 2010 with a trailer attached to Iron Man 2 so they’re targeting a large and apparently receptive crowd.
The Dark Knight Rises has featured two trailers so far – one a teaser and the other theatrical. The film is slated to release on July 20.
